Starting October 2023, several C-Band VSAT users in the city of Addis Ababa started to complain of interference and blockage of reception on their installed VSAT system. Some Satellite companies reached out to us (AKASS engineering team) and we have done some research on the subject. Our finding confirmed that the newly installed 5G antennas uses the C-Band an there mayight be an interference with newly installed nearby 5G antenna.

AKASS team successfully handled the migration of a VSAT Equipment ( indoor and outdoor units), with a complete replacement of a 2.4 antenna, 2X5 iDirect modem with a newer X7 iDirect modem, a new rack, UPS Cisco router, a switch and other equipment for its customer.

On the 15th of August, 2019 for implementation of IT infrastructure for the newly constructed Assembly and show room of Marathon Motor Engineering. The Project includes of over 120 Nodes, 8 Wifi ports, 20 Camera locations, 3- wiring centers which including PoE switch, Fingerprint attendance control system and many more.

AKASS is proud to have participated in a Data Center relocation of of one of the major banks in Ethiopia ( Wegagen Bank ) .
The entire Datacenter is to be moved to a new location, the project was time constrained and the Banks IT team was working for 24hour bases for three conscutive days to minimize the down time and fulfill the time window proposed by project team.

AKASS team relocated an existing 2.4m VSAT antenna to a new location for AWASH Bank Ethiopia.
Customer wanted to use the current installation location for construction of cafeteria.
The site survey assignment was awarded to AKASS team from Orange and we assessed all the compound for available relocation spot facing the current Satellite location and presented the site survey result with proposed new location which is agreed and confirmed with customer.

An international VSAT operator, who provided the service for one of the local banks, contacted AKASS team via email and assigned the team to perform a site survey and asses all available spaces and options for the move which should be performed in an urgent bases and with minimum disruption time frame.
